A lot more action in this book which creates a much faster pace。 I really enjoyed rereading it!
Kapilan,
-Oops, the title has a fault in it。 The Five actually went off in two caravans。-This story begins slowly that I lost my patience and then went in rocket speed that I lose my sanity。-I loved this story only because I love mountains and animals。-Most of the characters have equal weightage which missed in the previous story。#thefamousfivefan
A Chopra,
i love how the book keeps me guessing till the end!
Saffron Mavros,
Each famous five book had the potent capacity to give serious goosebumps。 Each brought its own unique plot, twists, and storylines that kept you hooked。 And of course the wideee variety of meals that comes with every supper! Undoubtedly the best of Enid Blyton。
Nicola,
Anne thought it was nice to watch a grown up enjoy bread and honey as much as children did。 Anne is weird。 Really really weird。
Oviya San,
Quite a good book with lots of adventure 🙂

Blu Anna,
Book 5 and one of my favourites love Pongo the chimpanzee

Salma Nabilah,

I can't explain why I had a sudden urge to read an Enid Blyton book, specifically a Famous Five one, but I'm SO glad I did。 This was such a warm, wholesome read that made me really nostalgic for when I was a kid and used to obsessively read every Famous Five book I could get my hands on。 It was just as fun as I remembered the series to be and also, I can't get over the fact that George is so obviously trans!! What an icon。 I now really feel like rereading the rest of the Famous Five books, thoug I can't explain why I had a sudden urge to read an Enid Blyton book, specifically a Famous Five one, but I'm SO glad I did。 This was such a warm, wholesome read that made me really nostalgic for when I was a kid and used to obsessively read every Famous Five book I could get my hands on。 It was just as fun as I remembered the series to be and also, I can't get over the fact that George is so obviously trans!! Varsha Hasini。S,
This story is set when the five go camping in caravans。There they made friends with Nobby a circus boy who trains dogs。He has a fierce, unfriendly uncle called Dan and his friend Lou is even worse。Both Dan and Lou are interested in move the the five out their camping spot。The five are suspicious about these two and find out why。It is really good but you can understand the plot clearly and the first。

Alan Cotterell,
A nice but rather dated story。 Good palette cleaner between books。 3。25。

George is staying over for the holidays but the Famous Five are bored, they decide to go on a trip in a caravan to stay near some circus folks having a rest。 But two men at the circus are there to do more than just clowning around and when the Five find a hiding place underground they know that Lou and Tiger Dan are up to something but what?It was so good partly because there was another animal in this one and Pongo was really funny as well as Nobby being a good friend。 Nobby is always saying th George is staying over for the holidays but the Famous Five are bored, they decide to go on a trip in a caravan to stay near some circus folks having a rest。 But two men at the circus are there to do more than just clowning around and when the Five find a hiding place underground they know that Lou and Tiger Dan are up to something but what?It was so good partly because there was another animal in this one and Pongo was really funny as well as Nobby being a good friend。 Nobby is always saying that the Famous Five are his 'posh friends' because he's hands are always really grubby and his clothes are ripped and torn。 It's hilarious as they're not posh they've just got really good manners。- review written by my 9 year old 。。。more

Jessica,
I got what I wished for when reviewing the prequel to this book it was just poorly executed。 The book starts in the grounds at Julian, Dick and Anne's house and the start is strong to set up a good story。 Later when they went caravanning the plot weakens。 You can tell hat the book is outdated as the things that happened to Pongo and the way he was treated probably wouldn't be included having the books to have been written more recently。 I got what I wished for when reviewing the prequel to this book it was just poorly executed。 The book starts in the grounds at Julian, Dick and Anne's house and the start is strong to set up a good story。 Later when they went caravanning the plot weakens。 You can tell hat the book is outdated as the things that happened to Pongo and the way he was treated probably wouldn't be included having the books to have been written more recently。 。。。more

The Five books might be all that different from each other, but structurally, they are very strong。 I've always enjoyed them as a light read。 This book was no different - it was action packed with a good mystery。 There might not be anything too special about them to pull them apart, but in this book, Anne kind of comes out of her shell, which I appreciate。 All in all, a good book。 The Five books might be all that different from each other, but structurally, they are very strong。 I've always enjoyed them as a light read。 This book was no different - it was action packed with a good mystery。 There might not be anything too special about them to pull them apart, but in this book, Anne kind of comes out of her shell, which I appreciate。 All in all, a good book。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Not my favourite book。 I think the animal abuses that take place make me feel this way。 I remember I had a talking book of this when I was a kid and thought I’d know this book better than any of them。 I was wrong。 I remembered sketchy things but had forgotten far more。 The children are bored in the hols and can’t decide what to do。 Until they see a travelling circus and make sudden friends with a boy called Nobby who tells them where they are headed。 Not thinking for one moment that circus folk Not my favourite book。 I think the animal abuses that take place make me feel this way。 I remember I had a talking book of this when I was a kid and thought I’d know this book better than any of them。 I was wrong。 I remembered sketchy things but had forgotten far more。 The children are bored in the hols and can’t decide what to do。 Until they see a travelling circus and make sudden friends with a boy called Nobby who tells them where they are headed。 Not thinking for one moment that circus folk going for a rest perhaps wouldn’t want a caravan of children following them they all decide that’s what they will do。 So caravans picked, food packed, parents glad to see the back off them and off they go。 They have a great time travelling through the countryside (I have my suspicions it the Malverns) and Ann really loves not having to face deadly danger for once。 She’s so happy。 It won’t last。 Poor Ann。 They find the circus camp site and meet Nobby, his uncle who’s horrible and a grumpy tightrope Walker。 They also meet pongo and chimp and two dogs that belong to Nobby called Barker and Growler。 Not going to lie, although *spoilers* all the animals are okay by the end of the book the poisoning of the dog, the abuse of the chimp by Nobby’s uncle, the injury the chimp sustains are pretty rough。 This is of its time。 A circus with animals but to use them in the way Enid does I’ve never liked。 Anyway all hell kicks off and the children are embroiled in another adventure! For me not the greatest plot。 I’m glad to move forward from this one。PS。 I’m reading the original prints。 I hate the 80’s covers on the goodreads site。 🤣🤣🤣 。。。more
